There is a lack of understanding of ADHD, what it is, and how it affects people, especially within the education system. The Focus publication was created to increase awareness and offer education to teachers on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and how it manifests in young girls.
According to ADHD UK, 89% of teachers currently teach or have taught students with ADHD and agree that the condition has a significant impact on a student. However, there is a lot of misunderstanding around the condition among teachers and the ability to recognise ADHD traits in students.
